As a fisher folk license holder, you are hereby reminded that you MUST comply with the
following conditions:
- Fishing activities should be carried out in accordance with the areas specified in the license.
- Boat captains should ensure that all fishers onboard should be licensed in accordance with the areas assigned to the vessel license.
- Catch data must be recorded on an official catch logbook and submitted after EVERY TRIP to a fisheries officer at any Marine Reserve station or Fisheries Department Office, as part of the mandatory criteria for renewal.
- Vessel marking should be in accordance with the colour – coding assigned for each
fishing area and of the dimensions specified. - ALL of the Fisheries Regulations must be complied with.
Failure to comply with any of the above conditions will result in charges specific to the offence. It may also result in the suspension or cancellation of your fisher folk license. This is in accordance with the Fisheries Resources Act.
