In an effort to initiate activities related to Component 2, the PIAG organized an Alternative Livelihood Forum with co-manager and organizations responsible for implementing alternative livelihoods projects in communities to discuss the success rate of their development/intervention programmes. The Forum was also an opportunity to inform co-managers and stakeholders of funding opportunities under MCCAP, discuss challenges and successes to implementing alternative livelihoods projects, and to share lessons learnt and best practices that could be used to develop innovative approaches to creating successful/viable alternative economic activities. To this end, the Forum was convened on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at the Coastal Zone Management Authority and Institute Training Room, Belize City.
