Eric Wade began to work at the Fisheries Department under a project implemented by the Ecosystems Management Unit where he was tasked with ensuring the timely delivery of data from the Marine Reserve staff and with carrying out statistical analysis of all synoptic monitoring data in order to make sound and informed recommendations. He has recently been transferred to work with the Managed Access Program under the Capture Fisheries Unit where he will be an asset in the work being developed in the science component of the program. Eric will also aid in the education and outreach component as he is interested in the socioeconomic impact that the Managed Access program has within the industry as part of his plans to further his academic studies.


  • Background

Eric graduated from the University of North Carolina in Wilmington, North Carolina, U.S.A with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marine Biology. He has been working at the Fisheries Department for almost 2 years; he is interested in fisheries policy and plans to pursue a Masters in Fisheries Science and Management.
